MEMBERSHIP

Can I buy a membership as a gift?
Yes. You will need to sign up as yourself and transfer it over to the recipient after you have gifted the membership. You can also purchase certificates and MWS gear in our shop to add to your gift! 


Do I have to be a member to be an Ambassador?
The Ambassador level is a one-year upgrade to the lifetime membership. If you are not a MWS member already, please add a $45 lifetime MWS membership to your cart when signing up. For more information about the Ambassador upgrade, click here.

What do I do if I have questions about my membership?
If you have questions about your membership, or are not receiving membership emails, please email us and we will be happy to help you troubleshoot!

MEETINGS

Do I have to RSVP for the monthly meetings?
Yes, all members must RSVP under their own name and email address using the provided Eventbrite links. RSVP links are sent via email 10 days prior to each meeting.* Please make sure you’re using the correct link for your preferred session; you will receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite shortly after you complete the RSVP form.

*Ambassadors will receive an invitation to RSVP 11 days prior to each meeting.

How do I change or cancel my reservation?
If you are no longer able to attend, please let us know so that we can offer the seat to a fellow member! To change or cancel your RSVP, access your RSVP by following the links in your Eventbrite confirmation email. If you need help, please email us.

Is there a waitlist for the meetings if they are sold out?
Yes! Please use the Evenbrite waitlist feature. If a spot becomes available, Eventbrite will email you and you'll have 24 hours to claim your spot by following the prompts in the email. If you do not claim your spot within 24 hours, the seat will go to the next person on the waitlist.

What is the guest policy?
In order to seat as many members as possible, we cannot accommodate guests at our meetings. If you know of someone who is interested in joining, please have them email us and we will be happy to answer any questions they might have!

MEMBER COIN

What do I receive with my member coin?
All members will be mailed a wood member coin after signing up for a lifetime MWS membership. Members can bring their coin to Gamlin Whiskey House at any time throughout the month and receive a complimentary tasting of the month’s featured whiskey.

Members also receive a 10% discount at Gamlin Whiskey House beginning at 3 p.m. on meeting dates. Must show coin to receive discount. Discount does not apply to happy hour specials.

If you did not receive your membership coin, please email us and we will be happy to look into this for you. 

MEMBER COMMUNICATION

All MWS communication is done via email. Depending on your personal settings, these emails might go to Spam or Promotional folders; please save the mws@gamlinrg.com address to your address book.

You might also be interested in joining our private Facebook group (for members only): www.facebook.com/groups/missouriwhiskeysociety. When requesting to join, please include the email address used to sign up for the MWS so that we can confirm your membership.

Please do not invite your friends to join this group unless they are current members.

Is the MWS a partner of Whiskey in the Winter?
No, Whiskey in the Winter is a third-party event hosted by Synergy. Keep an eye on your email for more information about how you can get involved with our MWS booth at this annual whiskey festival.

What is Women & Whiskey?
